Dené Sinclair is the owner of Beendigay Marketing & Consulting, a boutique agency specializing in strategic planning, business development, Indigenous community program management and intercultural communications. For more than 18 years, Dené has been a part of leading communications, marketing and development agencies both in Manitoba as well as nationally and internationally. Current client roster includes Indigenous and non-Indigenous non-profit organizations, arts, culture and heritage groups, First Nation economic development corporations and small business owners.
Throughout her career, Dené has been at the forefront of Indigenous-led communications, marketing and development enterprises and has worked with a number of private and public agencies including Travel Manitoba, Destination Canada and the Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada. After many years of travel, Dené is enjoying time with her feet on the ground close to home and focuses her energies on projects which promote and celebrate Indigenous peoples, cultures, knowledges and languages throughout Manitoba. She especially values the time and opportunities she has as a part of the team at the Manitoba Indigenous Cultural Education Centre.
In 2018 Dené was counted as Canadian Traveller Magazine’s Top 40 under 40, and in 2016, she was recognized as a Finalist for the YM-YWCA Women of Distinction as well as being included in 2016's CBC Manitoba's Future 40. She has achieved a Masters of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from Royal Roads University (2019) specializing in Intercultural Communications, Tourism Management & Indigenous Studies, as well as a Diploma in Public Relations from the University of Winnipeg (2013).
Dené acknowledges her traditional homeland in the Red River Valley in Southern Manitoba as a part of the St. Peter’s Indian Band. She is a member of Peguis First Nation and a proud Anishinaabekwe.
