Our vision is that women and girls have the resources and opportunities to reach their full potential and live their dreams.

Soroptimist International (SI) is a worldwide organization. Members in over 120 countries work to empower & educate women and girls, advance human rights and achieve gender equality. Soroptimist International has consultative status with the United Nations.

Soroptimist International of the Americas (SIA) is one of 5 International Federations in SI, with about 1,300 clubs in 20 countries. The Dream Programs of SIA, giving women and girls access to education and training, create sustainable, measurable change for women and girls.

The SIA Live Your Dream Awards (LYD) assist women by giving them the resources they need to improve their education and employment prospects. Each year, more than $1.8 million in education grants are awarded to more than 1,200 women.

The SIA Dream It, Be It: Career Support for Girls Program (DIBI) provides secondary school girls with information, and resources on career opportunities, setting and achieving goals, overcoming obstacles to success and how to move forward after setbacks.

Western Canada Region clubs participate in the Live Your Dreams and DIBI programs, in addition to a myriad of local projects.
