Nicole Daybird, Founder of Daybird Beauty, Makeup Artist
Nicole Daybird is a proud Indigenous entrepreneur, creative visionary, and the founder of Daybird Beauty — a growing beauty and lifestyle brand based in Regina, Saskatchewan. Her business blends beauty, culture, and empowerment through high-quality products, professional makeup services, and youth-focused wellness programming. Nicole is a member of Muskowekwan First Nation and is deeply passionate about creating spaces where Indigenous youth and women feel seen, celebrated, and supported.
Daybird Beauty began with Nicole’s love for makeup and community. Her signature lash collections — including the Cree, Nakoda, Deadly, and Feather lines — are inspired by Indigenous identity, femininity, and strength. In addition to lashes, her brand offers lash tools, beauty accessories, mirrors, and curated self-care kits. Nicole is known not only for her quality products but for her ability to connect and uplift through storytelling, wellness, and creativity.
Beyond product sales, Nicole leads Holistic Beauty Workshops for youth across Saskatchewan and beyond. These workshops blend smudging and grounding practices, confidence-building games, vision board creation, makeup tutorials, and teachings inspired by the Medicine Wheel. Her programs are delivered in collaboration with schools, Nations, and community organizations, and provide practical tools for self-care, confidence, and cultural pride. Each session ends with the gifting of a self-care kit — a tangible reminder of inner and outer strength.
Nicole has been recognized for her leadership and dedication to the community. She was a nominee for the 2022 YMCA Women of Distinction Award in Leadership in Business, and she continues to serve on panels and reviewing circles such as the Share and Connect: Indigenous Community Arts program.
As a mother, artist, and entrepreneur, Nicole balances her growing business with a deep commitment to family, mentorship, and cultural tradition. Her work is rooted in values of generosity, joy, and self-expression, with a mission to help others feel powerful in their identity — whether through a flawless makeup look or a confidence-boosting workshop.
