Marilyn Camille, Chief Administrative Officer, Northern Shuswap Tribal Council
A strong Secwepemc matriarch, mother and grandmother, Marilyn is a language learner and a cultural knowledge-holder for our people and she strongly values passing along her traditional knowledge for future generations. Marilyn is a former chief of the Stswecem’c Xget’tem First Nation and has also served her community as the Band Administrator, Director of Family Services, and as the Health Program Manager. Marilyn is a proud member of the Secwepemc Nation and has contributed her time as a board member of the Nenqayni Wellness Centre, the Knucwentwecw Society, as well the boards of Northern Shuswap Treaty Society and Northern Shuswap Tribal Council. Throughout her career, Marilyn has been a dedicated advocate for self-government and recognition of First Nations rights and she is able to continue to do that in her current position as Chief Administrative Officer.
